Try Using Some Blackjack Etiquette

Etiquettes are rules that players must be aware of. These are also house rules that should be followed by players to have a harmonious game. By following these unwritten rules your game play will be more enjoyable.

1. Joining a table while the game is in progress can put players in a confrontation situation with other players. So make sure that you ask them first if you want to join that table. If they do not like to be disturbed then wait for them to finish. Do not force yourself.

2. Remember that dealers are not allowed to take cash, so be sure that you are the one to exchange your cash into chips. But if you are on the table and you forgot to buy chips, just put your cash on the table and ask the dealer politely if he or she can exchange your cash into chips.

3. If you plan to watch a blackjack game only and you do not want to play, you can watch from a distance. Or perhaps behind somebody who is playing. But never push yourself in front. Remember, you should not stare at the cards of the player. This is not proper. Even if you saw that there is a vacant seat at the table still you are not allowed to take that seat only to watch a game.

4. Giving a tip to dealer is not a requirement. It is just a simple way of showing courtesy.

5. If you are in the middle of a game and you want to order for a drink, do it as fast as you can. Never force players to wait for your turns while you are busy ordering a drink. This may annoy other players at the table.

6. Make your bet as quick as you can. This is the same as the above reason. You do not want to make everybody wait on you for long periods of time. This will annoy them as well.

7. Give hand signals very clearly and precisely.

8. Always to keep your emotions under control. Dealers are merely messengers of the casino; do not blame them if you lose a hand.

9. If you are not asked to give advice, don't.

10. If other players upset you, just leave the table peacefully and quietly.

11. Say "thank you", "you're welcome" and "sorry" if necessary.

12. If you are feeling tired and you are feeling you had enough, get up and quit playing. Don't force yourself to play more trying to score the big win.

13. If you want to drink, drink slowly but do not eat while playing or you might spill food or drink at the table. Besides, you do not want to touch the cards with greasy hands.

14. Don't talk too loud, this can disturb other players. If you want to chat with your friends leave the table.
